Rohnert Park, Sonoma County
Sonoma State University opened in 1961 and moved to its campus on the east side of Rohnert Park a few years later. Its Green Music Center, completed in 2012, has a wood-lined concert hall with a rear wall that opens onto a lawn for outdoor audiences. The vineyards of the Sonoma Valley and the Russian River begin a short drive away.
